Baptism
Baptism is the ceremony in which a person is received into the Christian Church. It involves making promises to follow Jesus that in the case of a child are taken by parents and sponsors.
Because the newly baptised are received into the church it is normally conducted when the church assembles for worship. In the case of Christ Church that is at 8.30 am and 9.30 am at St Alban's on a Sunday morning. Baptisms can occur at other times and the parish is happy to discuss this option. Adult Baptisms can also be arranged.

Weddings
The heritage listed Christ Church with its timber interior, superb acoustics, pipe organ, and historic atmosphere provides an ideal setting for weddings of up to 100 guests.
Marriage ceremonies are conducted by the parish priest using the order of service prescribed by the Anglican Church of Australia. Priests from other parishes or dioceses may solemnise marriage by arrangement with the parish office.
Notification of marriage must be given at least one month before but not longer than eighteen months prior to the date of the wedding. People intending to be married need to produce proof of identity usually by way of birth certificates. Weddings usually involve much planning. It is never too early to make contact and begin the process. Tentative inquiries and bookings are welcome.

Funerals
The church is available for members of the Anglican Church, and can accommodate up to two hundred mourners in a tranquil setting. The precinct gardens also allow space for reflection and fellowship.
Flowers and an Organist can be arranged and charges apply. Refreshments can be provided in the air-conditioned Rectory, charges apply. Inquiries can be directed to the Parish Priest on telephone 3369 2797, and through your Undertaker.
Ashes
Ashes of loved ones can be disbursed in either the Christ Church Reserve, the Stadium Gardens adjacent to the Christ Church Reserve Chippendall Street Milton or in the grounds of St Alban's, Auchenflower.
The Reserve is located behind Christ Church and the Rectory, at 9 Chippendall Street Milton. Ashes may be disbursed in the elevated western garden of the Christ Church Reserve. A garden seat is situated in the middle of this garden. They may also be disbursed in the Stadium Gardens, which run along the southern wall of Suncorp Stadium between the stadium and the Christ Church Reserve.
